Tips to do before the start of this course

Great portfolios aren’t built in a day. Before the start of the portfolio course, it is beneficial to have an idea of what you want to do for your work sample. It can be a new idea or improving on something you have worked on previously.

Push yourself but be realistic. Create a plan for yourself and break down the task you need to finish with clear deadlines. Prioritize the different tasks, what are the priorities you must have and what are the nice-to-haves. That way you can scale down if you realise you are running out of time.

If you learn from different resources, do make sure that you understand what you are doing, avoid copying something without investigating it and reflecting upon it.

Make it relevant for the education you are interested in applying to. If you are interested in multiple educations work smart and see if you can create a work sample suitable for the educations.
