What’s been going on at FutureGames during the start of 2011
We’ve been so busy with our projects we’ve almost forgotten to tell the world what’s going on!
So here’s a long sought after update;
Students working on game project number 2, right now in the middle of the last week!
Spanning over 4 weeks between the coldest months of the year the students at FutureGames are busy indeed creating games. Responsible for making sure the students get the experience they need we have our very own, one and only, well known game developer extraordinaire Sjoerd “Hourences” De Jong, who with his game The Ball won renowned PC Gamers Best Action/Adventure Game of 2010.
This friday (11/2) the students will be showcasing the project to a game industry jury. Be sure to stay tuned at www.FutureGames.se to see the results!
SPACE BAR a success – thanks to everyone who came!
We along with 50 invited guests had a great time when David Westerlund came and gave us an amazing lecture about Retro music within games. This was followed by an – dare I say it – even greater party arranged and hosted by our talented students which ended with a lot of good contacts being made and a lot of good memories… thanks to everyone for coming!
Did I mention Skatanmilla and Yagami of the Druidz clan (two of the best Street Fighter 4-players in the world) attended? They seemed to have a score to settle on the King of Fighters arcade machine our good friends at Super Motaro lent us. Take a look at the pictures from the party!
FutureGames hosts information gatherings! Want to know more about FG? Attend this thursday!
If it somehow might have slipped your mind FutureGames will be taking in new applications for the autumn of ’11! We are hosting three information gatherings where you can come and visit us at FutureGames and attend a two hour information meeting with yours truly, Almir Listo, project manager at FutureGames. If you want to know how to get into to FutureGames – this is where you should be on this thursday 10/2 between 18:00-20:00! More information at the top of the page (as well under the Apply-tab to your left!) And if you can’t come on thursday there are two more gatherings later on.
FutureGames continously expand its contacts with the industry…
At FutureGames we always strive to get to know the best companies out there so our students have the right contacts when it’s time to look for work placements. We are happy to announce that companies such as Guerilla, Arkane, Epic Games People Can Fly and CAOZ are happy to talk to our students when the time to look for work placements come. Knowing this, it must feel great to be a FutureGames student..!
