As we have mentioned before, the students get to do a series of game projects during their time here, each project incrementially more advanced. The class of 2013 has just received their third game project assignments and this, this is the big one.
These game projects are being done together with Microsoft, who will act as client and publisher towards the students. That means that the students need to deliver a product that will meet Microsofts list of requirements and standards. For this particular project, the students will have to create a family friendly, fast paced action game that will work on several platforms, including PC and tablets.
The students are divided into teams of 3 designers and 4 artists each, the project begun on May 12 and will end on June 27. The students are expected to deliver a product, organize themselves proffesionally and present a budget plan, marketing plan and development schedule.
Good luck, developers! We’re looking forward to seeing the results.
