Tommie Löfqvist Character Animator at DreamWorks on the direct link from LA
At Futuregames Academy we always strive to bring the best in the industry to come and lecture at our premises here in the heart of Stockholm. When that’s not possible we do webinars, such as this webinar with Dreamworks Character Animator Tommie Löfqvist.
Become the Game Developer you want to be
At Futuregames Academy the students can choose themselves what specialization they want. Animation? Character modelling? Concept art? Sure – no problem – we got the industry veteran teachers, the free time and hands-on know-how how on how to make you into the professional game developer you want to be.
At Futuregames you don’t just do games – you can do it all
The following students have chosen to specialize within the art of animation, hence their education is tailored to suit them as good as possible. Jonas Wallin, one of the animators at FutureGames Academy (view his portfolio here), has already started his work placement at the Game Developer Supersledge. Futuregames Academys course is flexible enough to give the students an opportunity to participate in as many lectures as possible – just like Jonas did.
The other animation students have chosen to work at film production companies, production houses and animation studios. What would you like to do? At Futuregames Academy you can do film and games – it’s up to you to choose which.
Okay so he works at Dreamworks… but how good is he really?

Student update
After talking with the students about the lecture, this was what they had to say:
“It was incredibly valuable to get feedback from Tommie! He has a knowledge that is invaluable if we are to develop as animators!”
“Very interesting and instructive, despite the relatively short time!”
“I felt full of expectations for the seminar with Tommy. I was very interested to hear his critique of my animations. I would like to sum it all up with being very enlightening.Tommy seems like a very nice guy.”
Our biggest thanks to the man who connected Sweden to internet
Our biggest thanks goes out to our friend Ulf Bilting. This Webinar wouldn’t be possible without his commitment. A great big thanks to you Ulf from us at Futuregames Academy! We’re not surprised Ulf does these kind of things, after all he was first in Sweden to have an IP-number. (It’s true – read more about it in this swedish article about him).
