Sjoerd giving a presentation of Unreal Engine 4 at Futuregames
At Futuregames, we strive to work with the newest technology and our close relationship with Unreal is certainly one of many things that enable us to do so. Unreal Engine 4 was initially released on April 2nd, but Futuregames Game Design teacher Sjoerd De Jong has already been working with the platform for a year. Now he is sharing some of his knowledge in a new set of videos as well as a free sample project.
Sjoerd, also known as Hourences, has been working with Unreal Engine for over 15 years, and has developed a close relationship with Epic Games. Sjoerd is a well known and respected member of the Unreal community and his website is one of the most popular places for anyone looking to learn how to use Unreal Engine.
At the Swedish Game Awards in March, Sjoerd held a presentation of Unreal Engine 4 and Blueprint scripting. Expanding on that talk, Sjoerd has released a series of videos with an overview on how to approach bigger projects in UE4, and all the really cool stuff that can be done. In addition to that, he has been generous enough to share a free example project based on his upcoming game Solus.
