CD PROJEKT will be joining forces with Futuregames Warsaw as main strategic partner, with the aim of promoting, supporting, and working together to expand access to education in the various fields of the video game industry.
With support from CD PROJEKT, the new Warsaw-based branch of Futuregames will be offering courses in game programming, design, and art. Lessons will be held in English, on-site in Warsaw, and will be open to all EU citizens and valid student visa holders. The ambition is to start in September, with Futuregames Warsaw attendees getting to create a total of four games — all using provided professional-grade game dev software and hardware — with their creators retaining full ownership of the games they make.
Thanks to CD PROJEKT’s involvement, Futuregames Warsaw will be able to offer a 50% discount on tuition fees of all students in the first year of the partnership. The company will also provide Futuregames scholarships up to nine of the highest performing students in the partnership’s second year, as well as offer 30 weeks of internships to course participants at CD PROJEKT RED, the studio behind The Witcher series of games and Cyberpunk 2077. Enrollment process is still open, and all interested can apply here.
