Introducing “The Ting”: A week-long event where games studios from around the world get to meet our super talented 3D artists and game designers, to find an intern or present their studio and get to know us!
Our students are looking for 30-week internships, beginning 17th January 2022.
Tuesday October 19, 9.00 – 17.00 CET
Worldwide student meet ups online
For international companies, we will set up 20-minute individual sessions scheduled to cover all time zones. This is the chance to get to know our students better and find the right talent for your company. Companies will be able to choose appropriate time slots that work best for them. We have also invited recruitment agencies and talent scouts to conduct presentations and meet our students. All our educations are taught in English and our students are fluent in English, so nothing should get lost in translation!
Wednesday October 20, 9.00 – 17.00 CET
Student meet ups with the Nordic countries online
For local companies who are not able to travel to Stockholm, we will set up 20-minute individual sessions with the brightest talents in Swedish gaming, and assist studios in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland to find the right people they’re looking for.
Thursday October 21 and Friday 22, 10.00 – 17.00 CET
Stockholm-based studios onsite
A two-day opportunity for locally based companies to meet our students in real life. They will present their work and answer questions. The event will be held at Citykonferensen Ingenjörshuset (Hötorget) on both days.
+ Friday, 18.00 – 21.00
Release party for Futuregames latest game, Kenopsia – open mingle and bar.
On Friday evening, we will have an afterwork party at the same place (Citykonferensen Ingenjörshuset) to keep the conversations going, in an informal setting.
If the scheduled time does not work for you, just let us know and we will try to organise an appropriate booking for your time zone!
The internships can be paid or unpaid, and of course we will guide you through what is needed to support a student during their practical placement.
To get the ball rolling, sign up by filling in this form and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
We are always on hand to help with any practical details! Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions at ting@futuregames.nu.
Get inspired! Check out our students’ games here.
PLEASE NOTE: The total number of spaces and timeslots for The TING is limited, and we will process applications on a first-come first-served manner. To avoid disappointment, please register your interest soonest possible! If we are unable to find a spot for you, we will, of course, try our very best to accommodate your request at a later date!
The Viking ’ting’ was in fact a meeting that could last days to solve problems, organize work and discuss ideas. There was often a market, a court, and a chance for a massive get-together. Some historians saw it as one of the origins of modern democratic parliament and a sort of rave party. Our ‘ting’ is a chance for our students to show off what they can do, build contacts, create networks, and find companies for their 30-week long internships before setting sail into their professional voyage.
