About us:
Futuregames has been a leading games education in Sweden for over 20 years and has provided over 11% of the current workforce in the games Industry nationally.
Today we run schools in Boden, Karlstad, Skellefteå and Stockholm with around 400 students in games art, games design, games programming, QA game testing, VR/AR, games marketing and more.
The schools work under the parent company Changemaker Educations AB a rapidly growing education provider working across the digital and creative industries.
Futuregames programs are accredited and regulated by Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education MYH.
About the job:
The role is a full-time 100% temporary position (Heltid Vikariat) employment Aug 1 2022 – Dec 31 2022.
You will be responsible for planning, implementing developing and evaluating the Games Design Education and be responsible for 2 full time classes (70 students).
You will work with recruiting and onboarding competent lecturers and mentors for the education.
Take an active role (30%) in teaching and mentoring both within the education and across educational disciplines (e.g. group projects).
You will be working with a dedicated and diverse crew of teachers and coordinators and alongside our IT, office and marketing departments.
Create and update relevant information and communication for students.
Assist in the selection and admission process in collaboration with the respective Heads of Education and Education Coordinators.
Help to maintain and build industry-related contacts and relationships.
Salary range 35,000 – 40,000 SEK/month (depending on experience).
About you:
You should have experience of working in games development at a games company as a games designer and have a passion for creating great games.
You are comfortable working with students and the FG crew and in group discussions and meetings.
You are passionate about the future of games development and able to enthuse our students.
Must haves
Professional experience in games development from a games company.
Professional level English language (all our educations are taught in English and many of our students and teachers only have English as a common language).
Area specific skills using game design programs and games engines.
Nice to haves
Experience with both Unity and Unreal 4 engines.
A background from the games design industry working with VFX/animation.
Professional working experience in programming.
Experience of teaching games design.
Experience of working in a culturally diverse organisation.
