There’s no denying that focus testing is a crucial part of game development. Not only does the developer get much needed feedback on what they are making, but it teaches the tester a lot about game development as well. Last tuesday, Fatshark invited us in to do a series of focus tests on an upcoming game.
The students were divided into groups of four. First they got to test a section of the game, then they answered a questionnaire and lastly they had a group discussion about the game and their experiences. Overall, each session lasted for roughly 1½ hours.
Thanks for the invitation, Fatshark! Our students enjoyed getting this opportunity, we look forward to more collaboration in the future!
