Futuregames is an important catalyst for the Swedish games industry and has been named
the second-best gaming school in the world two years straight by the Rookies.
Headquartered at Medborgarplatsen in Stockholm, we have examined over 3000 people
since 2008 who now work in the fast-growing games industry, in Sweden and globally. Our
educational programs are developed in close collaboration with Swedish games studios.
Today we run educations at four different locations in Sweden; Stockholm, Skellefteå, Boden
and Karlstad. The school offers Higher Vocational Education programs such as Game
Programmer, 3D Artist, Game Designer, 2D Artist, Indie Game Developer, Game & UX
Designer, Project Manager IT & Games and QA / Game Tester. We also offer the folk high
school course Game Maker and shorter diploma courses within Games Engines and Games
Our goal is to continue to support the Swedish games industry’s competitiveness and top
position in the world by creating relevant educations that contribute to top skills and talents.
We are looking for
We are looking for you with very good leadership and organizational abilities, and with
documented industry knowledge and experience from computer games / mobile games. You
will become a site manager for Futuregames (FG) higher vocational educations and
together with the FG-Crew, be an important part of continuing to develop the school
It’s a plus if you have experience with formal work with The Swedish National Agency for
Higher Vocational Education (Myndigheten för Yrkeshögskolan) and past experience of
working with higher vocational educations. And if you have educational experience – even
● Quality check of all Futuregames educational programs in Sweden and internationally
● Develop, expand and nurture the brand Futuregames
● Carry out external monitoring / analysis of the industry on an ongoing basis and
secure implementation in Futuregame's educational programs
● Ensure ongoing recruitment of teachers and lecturers in close collaboration with the
● Be a site manager for Futuregames’ educational programs in Stockholm and
collaborate with the Heads of Education in Stockholm and at our other educational
hubs in Sweden and abroad
● Represent Futuregames in different local, regional, national and international forums
● Develop and conduct lobbying work with national and international companies and
partners. You will work in close collaboration with our other educational programs in Sweden through Changemaker Educations, for the most part in the Stockholm region.
The work takes place in a stimulating educational environment with quick decisions and
curious students. We are constantly growing, and a number of our educations are relatively new. There is thus much to both develop and at the same time build functioning structures.
Areas of responsibility
As a site manager you are responsible for FG;s operations in Stockholm. You will have
budget responsibility for the allocated budget as well as responsibility for the employees. As
a site manager you also participates in Changemaker Educations management team and
reports to the CEO. You represents FG in various local, regional, national and international
forums and events. As a site manager you are responsible for strategically planning and for
leading the schools education program.
