This Privacy Policy explains how Futuregames AB processes your personal data when you, for example, visit our websites, enroll in an education programmed with us, or submit an expression of interest and request that we send you targeted information and marketing.

You have the right to know what personal data we process about you and to obtain a copy of that data.

Right to rectification
You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.

Right to erasure
You may request that we delete your personal data. We will assess and comply where possible, however this may be limited due to legal retention requirements.

Right to restriction of processing
You may request that we restrict the processing of your personal data.

Right to object
You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data.

Right to data portability
Under certain conditions, you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured format and transfer it to another controller.

In our educational operations, we use technical services provided by data processors who process personal data on behalf of the data controller in accordance with defined purposes.

These providers deliver digital learning platforms, educational tools and administrative systems, meaning your personal data may be processed by them.

As a general rule, your personal data is processed within the EU/EEA. However, in certain cases, data may be transferred to third countries.

In such cases, appropriate safeguards are implemented, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions. For transfers to the United States, an adequacy decision in accordance with Article 45 of the GDPR applies.

Handling of Expressions of Interest and Marketing

When you submit an expression of interest for one of our programs, we process your personal data based on your consent.

This includes:

Sending targeted marketing, updates, notifications and reminders based on your expressed interests
Tailoring communication based on selected programs, subject areas and brands

When submitting an expression of interest, you also consent to us combining this data with information provided via YH-antagning if you begin or submit an application.

This allows us to:

Match your interest data with your application
Adapt communication based on your stage in the application process

This constitutes profiling, where data is analyzed and categorized automatically to understand your interests and provide relevant communication.

This process does not result in automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

If you have a protected identity, you must contact the Head of Admissions at AcadeMedia prior to applying.

Recipients of Personal Data

Personal data submitted via YH-antagning is processed by Learnpoint AB, the system provider, and shared with Futuregames AB.

You may request deletion of your account by contacting Learnpoint AB. However, without an account, you will not be able to modify or submit your application.

Legal Basis

Processing is based on task carried out in the public interest, namely the provision of education in accordance with the Swedish ordinance on higher vocational education, Förordning 2009:130, and regulations issued by the relevant authority.

Retention Period

Personal data submitted in connection with an application is retained for three years after the application period has ended, regardless of admission outcome.

This is necessary too:

Document the admission process
Demonstrate case handling in supervisory reviews

Delivery of Education

Futuregames AB uses various digital systems, platforms and services to deliver education and manage study administration during and after your studies. This includes providing you with a student account, AD account.

These accounts are used for:

Access management
Synchronization with learning platforms

If you borrow a computer from the school, we also process:

IP address

This is required for asset management and IT security purposes, including antivirus protection via Windows Defender.

Public interest, Article 6.1 e GDPR, for delivering education and issuing certificates
Legal obligation, Article 6.1 c GDPR, for accounting and financial reporting
Legal obligation, Article 6.1 c GDPR, for ensuring appropriate technical and organizational security measures

Retention Period

Personal data is retained only as long as necessary, and no longer than five years unless otherwise required.

Study documentation is retained:

During the education period
While the program is part of the higher vocational education system
Up to two years after the program is no longer part of the system

After this, documentation is deleted.

Accounts in learning platforms are deactivated after completion of studies, and data in Omniway is deleted after two years.
