Tsubasa Fujii
What is your current workplace, and what is your role there?
– I currently work as a Full-Stack Developer at Talking to Me. Talking to Me specializes in AI transformation and offers strategic services for organizational development. I started here as an intern. My first project was developing a digital human assistant, “Sally,” for Sahlgrenska Hospital. It was exciting to contribute to a tool that can communicate with people!
What do you appreciate most about your work?
– It’s thrilling to be part of advancing technology and to contribute to innovative applications of AI. Our team is close-knit, which enables efficient collaboration and high agility in our work. From the beginning, I’ve had responsibilities that allow me to be directly involved and make a meaningful impact on the process.
How has the Frontend Developer program been useful in your current role?
– It’s hard to single out one specific course. At school, I learned a lot of the basics in both backend and frontend that I use in my work. We learned everything from vanilla HTML and JavaScript to React and TypeScript. The Sally project was initially written in vanilla JavaScript and HTML. One of my first tasks was to convert it to React and TypeScript, which I found exciting. React has been the most useful to me.
– Although the program focused on frontend, it also covered backend, where I learned to build REST APIs, including database management. Over time, I discovered that I also enjoy backend development. Being able to work with both frontend and backend has been very educational, and it’s something I really value!
What are the biggest challenges in your work?
– There’s something new every day. Keeping up with current information is crucial, as new developments are constantly emerging, and there isn’t always a lot of information available online. So sometimes it takes a lot of trial and error to solve a problem. It’s challenging, but it’s also an interesting process.
What challenges and opportunities do you see for your role in the future?
– In the future, I foresee challenges with rapidly changing technologies and the continuous need to stay updated with the latest trends. Additionally, increasing demands for performance and security may create further challenges.
– I see the opportunity to collaborate and communicate with other AI units to solve complex problems or offer more comprehensive services, which could open doors to new applications and innovations.
